development: cost-effective expertise
ITA develops web sites and web-based systems. We have done so since 1996.
There are millions of people on the web worldwide. At times it seems there are as many people building web sites. ITA is differentiated by our attention to an overall Internet Strategy and ensuring that only the most appropriate ideas and functions are incorporated into the site. Our understanding of technology includes the ability to know when to use particular technology tools. This reflects our commitment to value for money and to the effectiveness of our web sites.
Our web site projects include "Look and Feel" concept development, graphic design, technical architecture design, site build, database integration, and robust testing prior to implementation.
Many organisations will offer to build your Internet presence in isolation. ITA will ensure that your Internet presence is an integral part of your overall business strategy. Through consultation and the development of an Internet Strategy prior to any development effort, ITA can deliver an Internet presence that will be effective for the unique needs of your organisation.

the planning process
Whether an organisation is setting up an Internet/Intranet/Extranet web site for the first time, or revisiting an existing site with a view to enhancement, a key success factor is a plan for the development, user interface, architecture, and function of that site. In other instances, the creative concept and consequent site elements may require revamping; either in isolation or in conjunction with a functional or architectural enhancement.
The following tasks and processes consistently form part of ITA's Web Site development approach:
- Initial Consultation
- Pre-workshop Research
- Client Stakeholder Workshop & Write Up
- Analysis & Development of Draft Web Site Specification
- ITA/Client Review of Web Site Specification
- Final Write-up
Following the Initial Consultation a quotation for the cost and scope of the project will be delivered.
A key element in the above process is the Client Stakeholder Workshop. This workshop is an opportunity for the team to discuss the function of the site, based on:
- A client-provided overview of business drivers, target market(s) & key objectives;
- Discussion and critique of current site function;
- New functions: Suggestions, ideas, examples seen and received;
- Shared examples of best of breed;
- Consideration of the hosting environment; and
- Discussion of financial, organisational, legal and other constraints on web site content/scale.
